三、教學目標 Objectives
-瞭解國際海事相關立法架構 -掌握海商立法「國際性」、「涉外性」、「語文性」、「實務性」之特質，加強海商各法制間之相互融通 -著重海商法所參考之國際立法規定之探討及研究 -加強新海商法修正部分及司法判決之討論 課程範圍會儘量配合國考命題大綱
The course offers a thorough introduction to International Maritime Law, International Conventions and an understanding of international shipping and its legal framework which includes Introduction to international Maritime Law, Ships, nationality and registration. The importance of the flag. Mortgages. The ship owner legal liabilities and right of limitation. Ship-owners’ liability for oil pollution and damages to the environment. Liability for collisions between vessels and fixed and floating objects. Contracts of affreightment. The ship owners liability for the carriage of goods. Ship-owners liability in contract and in tort. The carrier’s liability to passengers and crew claims. Salvage and general average.
