三、教學目標 Objectives
本課程主要介紹生產與作業管理之基本原理及實務應用，針對商品及服務之生產關鍵的監控、設計及控制過程，將傳統生產管理之理論導入服務業中，期使學習者對製造業及服務業的作業管理能有更深入了解。本課程內容主要包括策略課題及實務應用二大面向，課程主要內容包括：預測、產品及服務設計、產能規劃、品質管理及品質控制、專案管理等。另課程亦參酌輔以相關實例及個案，使學習者得以同時瞭解理論及實務運用技能，將所學靈活學以致用。
Operations management is an area of management concerned with overseeing, designing, and controlling the process of production and redesigning business operations in the production of goods or services. It involves the responsibility of ensuring that business operations are efficient in terms of using as few resources as needed and effective in terms of meeting customer requirements.
In this course, the topics covered include both strategic issues and practical applications. Among the topics are forecasting, product and service design, capacity planning, management of quality and quality control, inventory management, scheduling, supply chain management, and project management. Eventually, in order to help users learn the theories, practical skills and application, this course also provides case study for discussion and team research project.
