三、教學目標 Objectives
此課程將介紹自二十世紀早期至60年代以來的一些重要作曲理論和作曲技法。課程內容主要是根據作曲家的創作理念及其作曲技法的獨特性，來劃分為不同的主題單元（本科目每次開課的課程內容將有所調整）。期盼能通過此課程的修讀，培養學生的音樂創作能力。
This course will introduce some of the important compositional theories and compositional techniques since the early twentieth century to the 1960's. The content of this course is mainly based on the composers' ideas and their unique compositional techniques, which are divided into different thematic units.

●整體敘述 Overall Description
本學期課程進度將分為三個主題單元，分別為奧立佛．梅湘(Olivier Messiaen)．喬治．李給替（György Ligeti）與喬治．克拉姆（George Crumb）創作理念及其作品分析。每一主題單元將通過以音樂文獻閱讀，以及文本(text) 的聆聽、分析研讀、討論與課堂報告的過程來進行探究，期末需完成一篇專題或分析報告。
