三、教學目標 Objectives
微生物無所不在。人類可利用其代謝特性，用以分解污染物或是轉化成有利於人類福址的產物，是循環經濟重要的成員。 本課程內容提及：檢測環境微生物的三種大類別（傳統法、分子生物學法及二、三代定序的手段）；微生物如何分解或轉換環境中有潛在毒害的有機及無機污染物，及相關儀器的簡介。授課上，除了基本概念的講述外，也會邀請業界及學界專家授課，分享實務經驗，使同學對於環境微生物與檢驗技術有更深入了解，了解台灣相關產業的現狀及可能的發展。
Microorganisms are everywhere. Humans can use their metabolic capacities to decompose pollutants or transform them into valuable products beneficial to human welfare, making them an essential member of the circular economy. This course covers the three primary strategies to identify and environmental microorganisms (traditional, molecular biology, and second-and third-generation sequencing methods), how microorganisms decompose or transform potentially toxic organic and inorganic pollutants in the environment, and an introduction to related instruments. In addition to the general lecture, we will also invite experts from the industry and academia to share their practical experience for students to gain a deeper understanding of environmental microbiology and inspection techniques, and understand the current status and possible development of related industries in Taiwan.
