三、教學目標 Objectives
This course provides the historical background, various approaches for business analysis and valuation . Contemporary issues such as Discounted Cash-Flow Approach, Market-Based Models, Mixed Models, Asset-Based Models, and Options-Based Models, InterBrand Models, and Herose Models are given specific attention. The theme and perspective running throughout the course is how to make the practice of valuation of business organizations more effective.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

A.Entrance Competencies
Student will have general knowledge of the following:
1.Knowledge of the history of valuation theory and practice.
2.Knowledge the contents of tangible and intangible assets and their market values. .
3.Understanding of the basic rules of business valuation.

B.Exit Competencies
The student will be able to:
1.Analyzing and evaluating the value of tangible and intangible assets.
2.Analyzing and evaluating the value of business organization. .
3.Comparing and contrasting different valuation models.
4.Understanding the development of business valuation model.
5.Practicing of valuation of business organizations more effective..

COURSE ACTIVITIES TO MEET OBJECTIVES
A.Written Activities:
Class activities will include the use of a variety of exercises and case studies to improve the student’s analytical and critical thinking skills. Student will practice using various valuation models as a framework for analyzing organizational values.

B.Preparation & participation Activities
Everyone is expected to have completed all readings and assignments by class time. Students are expected to have a background in the history of valuation theory.
