三、教學目標 Objectives
本課程旨在傳授學生筆譯相關的觀念方法、轉換原則、翻譯技巧，並學習判斷文本類型、了解翻譯背景條件、分析翻譯問題及擬定解決方法及翻譯策略，並透過各主題領域之文字素材及平行文本，實際練習英譯中及中譯英之翻譯。本課程前半段著重基礎翻譯觀念及技巧，後半段為各類主題之中英雙向翻譯練習。
As a preliminary training for translation, this course aims to familiarize students with translation methods, principles, and skills, and to help them learn to judge text types, understand translation contexts and requirements, analyze translation problems, and find out proper translation solutions and strategies. Through materials and parallel texts across a variety of domains and topics, students will practice translating into both Chinese and English. The first half of the course focuses on basics and skills of translation while the second half on practice of translation into both Chinese and English.

●整體敘述 Overall Description 本課程首先將教授筆譯的觀念方法、轉換原則、翻譯單位及技巧、文本類型、翻譯綱要、工具資源等相關知識技能，接著藉由各類主題領域之文字素材及平行文本，讓學生學習處理中英雙向翻譯之難處，進而磨練翻譯原則和技巧。課程前半段著重翻譯基本觀念及技巧，後半段著重英譯中及中譯英之實際練習。
