| 出席 | 5 | 30% | Attendance, quizzes, and participation in class activities account for 30% of the semester grade. Students will not be allowed to take the final exam if they are absent more than 5 times during the semester without a valid excuse approved by the instructor. | | 平時作業 | 1 | 10% | A term project is assigned for the spring semester. Students are required to make an English presentation on a topic of their choice. The presentation should show at least 6 slides. The teacher will collect the topics on March 24th. Students will take turns to do the presentation in class starting from April 7th. The term project accounts for 10% of the final result. | | 期中考 | 1 | 25% | | | 學期考 | 1 | 25% | | | 平時成績 | 1 | 5% | The New TOEIC mock test (paper version) will be administered in the 4th week, on March 17th. It's a 30-minute test, including listening and reading comprehension questions. The result of the test will account for 5% of the semester grade. Students who finish the online test before 4/24 (23:55) get an early bird bonus of 3% for the semester grade. Students will not be allowed to take the final exam if they are absent more than 5 times during the semester.
Students must take both the New TOEIC mock test (paper version) on March 17th, and the online test in their spare time outsides the class hours. Students who finish the online test before 4/24 (23:55) get an early bird bonus of 3% for their semester grade. However, those who take the online test after 5/15 (23:55) will get a deduction of 2% from their semester grade.
For the term project, students will take turns to make an English presentation in class starting from April 4th.
In order to be excused for final exam, students must produce acceptable proof of absence for the test date to obtain official documentation issued from the school. |
