三、教學目標 Objectives

本課程將強學生的英文文法概念,利用多媒體教材讓學生熟悉實真的語言使用,幫助學生在日常生活中運用其英語能力.

This course will help students establish a solid foundation for their future learning of English.

四、課程內容 Course Description

●整體敘述 Overall Description
This course has three objectives. First, non-English major undergraduates will review fundamental topics on English grammar so as to establish a solid foundation for their future learning of English. Most importantly, grammar will be illustrated in an extensive reading of articles and emphasized in relation to its pragmatic uses in larger contexts. Second, literary appreciation and pronunciation correction through poetry memorization. Students are required to memorize and recite aloud in class one poem. Each poem will be analyzed and discussed in depth regarding form and content. Third, students will learn how to improve their English proficiency based on authentic materials via guided watching of various types of multimedia in class. Crucially, through listening to English TV programs, songs, and broadcast, students are expected to acquire the know-how of language learning and formulate their own learning habits in the long run.
