三、教學目標 Objectives
本課程的宗旨在於奠立學生對社會學理論發展的認識，以及學習社會學理論方面的基本能力，為將來研究及論文寫作之準備。這是一學年的課程設計，上學期的設計以古典社會學大家的「歷史/制度/結構」的理論思考導向為教學重點，具體的研討內容則是馬克思、涂爾幹、韋伯和齊美爾的歷史暨社會學理論。下學期的設計以當代社會學流派及其主要代表學家的理論思考導向為教學重點，具體的研討內容則是結構功能論、社會衝突論、符號互動論、俗民方法論、社會現象學、批判理論、後現代及文化理論等。
This course is introduction of sociological theories and their development. The first semester focuses on the men and ideas of four classical sociologists, including Karl Marx, Emile Durkheim, Max Weber, and Georg Simmel. The second semester explores in sequence on the development of some contemporary sociological theories, including Structural-functionism, Social Coflict Theory, Symbolic Interactionism, Ethnomethodology, Phenomenogical Sociology, Linguistic Analysis, Social Critical Theory, Post-Modernism and Cultural Theory.
