三、教學目標 Objectives
本學期課程以討論近代哲學兩大支派─歐陸理性論與英國經驗論為主題，介紹西洋近代哲學如何過渡到康德哲學之觀念史背景。教學目標主要在於使學生藉由對西洋近代哲學的認識，一方面逐步培養基本的哲學論述能力，另一方面亦能掌握西方近代思想與當代思潮之聯繫。
In this course, we will discuss two mainstreams of modern philosophy: European Rationalism and British Empiricism. We will focus on the transition from early modern philosophy to Kant. Through acquaintance with Western philosophy in modern times, students will also be expected to grasp the connection modern Western thoughts and contemporary issues.
