專利法課程目的最主要在於藉由案例的說明及操作，讓學生了解專利制度，以及台灣專利實務運作。
主題一 -- 專利簡介：專利內涵、專利與其他智財權之比較
主題二 -- 專利說明書與申請專利範圍：專利說明書及請求項的介紹
主題三 -- 專利權及專利制度：專利權制度、專利申請、專利取得、權利行使之介紹
主題四 -- 專利效力：說明專利之實體要件--產業利用性、新穎性及進步性
主題五 -- 專利侵害：簡介專利侵害判斷、專利侵權訴訟實務
主題六 -- 專利行政救濟：簡介專利案件舉發、訴願及行政訴訟
