| 上學期本課程著重於經濟學入門介紹及個體經濟的部分，再逐漸延伸至政府在經濟運作中課稅的影響，以及開放國際貿易後對國內價格影響的介紹。而從下個學期開始，除了進一步介紹獨佔、寡占市場的運作，將進入總體經濟的領域，探討總體經濟的領域、如何估計國內生產毛額、失業率、物價變動、通膨、經濟成長、生產力、生活水準、勞動市場及工資、總合需求、總合供給、以及開放經濟體與匯率，希望為同學的未來在更進一步修習總體經濟學上打下一個基礎。 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| In the first semester, the course was designed to usher students into the terrain of economics and focused on the introduction of microeconomics with a step-by-step pace extending to the discussion of tax and open economy. In the first two weeks of the second semester, we will look into the monopoly, Oligopoly, and Monopolistic markets, to get a good sense of what these markets are like and how they operate to draw a conclusion of the part of microeconomics in this course. Afterwards we will move on to the section of macroeconomics by looking into such issues as measuring economic activities, GDP, unemployment, the price level and inflation, economic growth, and productivity, and the analyses of aggregate demand and supply. The last part of the course will again be brought back to the track of international business by discussing the issues of exchange rates and the open economy. It is hoped that through the course, students can be equipped with the knowledge to tackle further challenges in specified course of macroeconomics. |
