三、教學目標 Objectives
在日常生活中，我們無時無刻不在詮釋別人所訴說的話語，許多言語帶有言外之意，充滿反諷或隱喻；有些人說話優雅機智，讓我們回味再三；一封文辭並茂的情書能夠打動人心。不管是在文學的領域還是在日常生活中，人類透過文字創造了許多美妙的事物，豐富許多人的人生。希望透過這門課的介紹，能讓學生對於文字之美有更細膩的感受與更深刻的體會，進而成為具備品味的文字鑑賞家。
Interpretation happens all the time in our life. Some people are so deft in language use as to be able to speak nonliterally, ironically or metaphorically. The task of the interpreter is to decode and appreciate what is implicitly said. Human beings have created many beautiful things with language to enrich life. This course is not only about how to interpret conversational utterances and literary ones, but also about how to appreciate the beauty of them.
