三、教學目標 Objectives
社會結構產生的社會不平等問題，是社會學關注的核心之一。此課程在於使學生了解社會結構如何形塑社會的不平等，並且表現在三個重要的範疇中（階級、族群與性別），以及優勢一方如何正當化或再製這些不平等。希望透過這個課程，讓學生能夠具備多方面思考與批判的能力，以更客觀的方式，去理解社會不平等背後所存在的意涵，以及不平等問題與整體社會運作的關係。
Ａcore concern of sociology is how social structure create inequalities. This course aims to provide students an overview of how society creates social inequalities in three important categories (class, ethnicity, and gender) and of how the privilege justifies and perpetuates these inequalities. Through this course, students should have critical thinking skills to understand the meanings behind social inequalities.
