Writing in a foreign language is the most difficult aspect of learning a new language. We will experiment and explore different kinds of writing, such as descriptive, narrative, analytical, interpretive, and comparative. The focus of our reading and writing will be on environmental and nature issues. Students will have in-class writing assignments, and will re-write the assignments after the teacher has made corrections and suggestions. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
四、課程內容 Course Description | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
●整體敘述 Overall Description Writing in a foreign language is the most difficult aspect of learning a new language. We will experiment and explore different kinds of writing, such as descriptive, narrative, analytical, interpretive, and comparative. The focus of our reading and writing will be on environmental and nature issues. Students will have in-class writing assignments, and will re-write the assignments after the teacher has made corrections and suggestions. First Semester: 1. Students will keep an Eco-journal. They will write every day whatever they want about their different relationships with environment and nature. 2. Short in-class writing assignments 3. We will read a story together and each student will write an essay on the story. 4. Each student will write a critical essay about a film dealing with animals, nature, environmental issues Second Semester: Three assignments: Write a fictional story or play. Write a paper about something you like. Write a research paper about a controversial environmental topic. |
