| 三、教學目標 Objectives | ||||
| 本課程旨在向學生介紹有關英語作為第二語言/外語 (TESL/TEFL)的教學與學習原則。我們將透過講解、課堂討論、指定閱讀、書寫的作業、課堂觀察和教學演示等方式來探討英語教學的理論、方法與技術等等相關問題。除此, 根據情境的需求與將理論和各種方法應用於本地機構的適當性，我們將一起思考台灣在地英語教學(TEFL)的新概念。 | ||||
| This course aims to provide students with an overview of the principles of teaching and learning English as a second/foreign language (TESL/TEFL). Issues related to the theories, approaches and techniques of English language teaching and learning will be explored by way of lectures, class discussions, assigned reading, writing assignments, class observation, and teaching demonstrations. Students will also be challenged to consider new conceptions for TEFL in Taiwan based on their critical analyses of the contextual needs and appropriateness of applying the theories and various approaches to the local institutions. |

| ●整體敘述 Overall Description In the first semester, we will start with the introduction of the theories, approaches and issues of TEFL. In the second semester, the focus will be put on more practical issues, application of the various teaching approaches, and then turned to your teaching demonstrations. The syllabus regarding weekly schedule of content and materials will be uploaded to SCU Moodle Platform. |
