三、教學目標 Objectives
【本課程屬資訊能力畢業標準列抵課程,內含至少12小時運算思維及程式設計內容】

網路時代和移動科技的來臨, 不只改變人們食衣住行的習慣, 也改變我們學習的模式。借助電腦和通訊科技, 語言學習的確能省時、省力, 不限空間並且能解決沒有母語人士模仿學習的機會。透過各種教學軟體, 學生可以自主學習; 經由社群網絡(如Facebook, Twitter, Skype等) , 學生能有跨文化交流、互動的機會; 經由數位學習平台的架設(如網路學園, Moodle, Blackboard等), 教師可以擴充其傳統課程的內容,或是提供獨立的網路課程; 經由學習容易上手的程式語言, 譬如MIT App Inventor 2, 學生更能客製化他們自己的英語學習。數位化學習如今已是全球教育的趨勢!

本課程的目的在提供學生電腦英語學習的新知、方法以及實際運用的機會。透過閱讀、課堂討論、實作(含分組演練/合作等)及報告, 本課程希望能幫助學生運用多媒體及資訊科技以學習英語專業的能力, 並且藉此銜接上世界「數位化學習」的脈動, 以致能終身學習、不斷擷取新知。
This course aims to connect students (as well as student-teachers) with the trend of digital learning by providing them with knowledg, methods and hands-on activities for learning English. Through the relevant reading of Computer-Aassisted Language Learning (CALL), in-class discussion, hands-on activities, and oral presentation, it is hoped that students can enhance their English proficiency and acquire the ability of using various media and information technology to have a life-long study on English. The course objectives are

1. To familiarize students with 「what have been done」 and 「what can possibly be done」 by
using computer and information technologies in learning English. ---From learning perspective
2. To know what computer and information technologies can be incorporated in English classrooms
in Taiwan. ---From teaching perspective
3. To equip students with some basic skills in creating multimedia courseware, online (web-
based) and offline, for their learning and teaching.


四、課程內容 Course Description
整體敘述 Overall Description
The course is theme-based which include vocabulary, grammar, listening & speaking, presentation, reading & writing, mobile learning, connection, and autonomous learning. For each theme, the instructor will first introduce internet resources, learning program/software, and authoring tool regarding the theme. Then the students will be required to surf the online resources, analyze the learning materials, and/or learn how to use the authoring tool to develop their own learning materials. The detailed course content is shown in the following weekly schedule.
