三、教學目標 Objectives
This one-semester course is intended to improve students' familiarity with details of the syntax of Modern Standard English, especially those details that tend to create stumbling blocks because they are different from the grammar of Chinese. The ‘textbook’ written & provided by the instructor, supplemented with in-class elucidation and occasional homework assignments, will provide students with both knowledge and practice in the details of English syntax.
