三、教學目標 Objectives
這門課是英文系大一的必修課。藉由閱讀小說、詩與戲劇三種不同的文類，帶領同學熟悉如何閱讀與賞析文學作品，進而培養出自身的論點與想法，並為將來英美文學的課程做預備。本課程也會以短片或網路影音向同學介紹文學技巧如何在不同的媒介中展演。
*本課程著重課堂參與與小組討論。若您不願參與小組討論，請勿選擇此課程。
This course is an introduction to literary works and literary techniques. This course will familiarize you with important works of literature and prepare you for future classes in American and English literature. You will read works of short fiction, poetry, and drama and learn to use your interpretations in literary analysis. Films and short video clips will help illustrate how literary ideas and concepts are used in different types of media.
*Please note that this class is centered around student participation, if you are not willing to share your thoughts and participate in group discussions, it is recommended that you do not take this class.

This course is an introduction to literary works and literary techniques. This course will familiarize you with important works of literature and prepare you for future classes in American and English literature. You will read works of short fiction, poetry, and drama and learn to use your interpretations in literary analysis. Please DO NOT do any outside research or copy paste from the internet; I want to hear your voice. If you plagiarize, you will receive a zero for your paper. VERY IMPORTANT: use specific references to the text to support your argument.
報告+討論 20%Group PowerPoint presentation, and presentation feedback. Please upload each assignment to TronClass before your group's presentation.
