三、教學目標 Objectives |
提高學生的口頭表達,語法的準確性和詞彙。培養學生的能力,撰寫,思考和表達自己邏輯上都短暫、 會話上下文和更長的演示文稿。培養學生的能力做筆記、 積極傾聽、 批判性地思考、 分析演講問有關和適當的問題。提高學生的能力,以回應問題和回答上下文和準確、 簡潔、 邏輯概括和解釋線上和書面內容的能力。積極規劃和實施未來目標。 |
Enhance students' oral expression, grammatical accuracy, and vocabulary. Develop students' ability to compose, think and express oneself logically on both short, conversational contexts and longer presentations. Develop students' ability to make notes, listen actively, think critically, analyse speeches and ask relevant and appropriate questions. Enhance students' ability to respond in question and answer contexts, and their capacity to accurately, succinctly and logically summarise and explain both online and written content. Engage in active planning and implementation of a future objective. |
四、課程內容 Course Description |
●整體敘述 Overall Description In this class, students will develop spoken abilities through 1) presentations on the topic of political philosophy, 2) future goals and 3) preparation for dramatic reading and/or other public presentation during the English Department's Events Week. This will be a very busy term, with a great number of opportunities for self-development. Students who so choose will take part in a dramatic performance during the events week; others will engage in dramatic reading preparation. All students will also begin learning the basics of speech making with the analysis and presentation of two chapters from the book "Justice" by Michael Sandel. Students will be divided into groups of three-to-four; each group will meet with me one week Prior to presentation to discuss the topic and how to present to the class. |
