三、教學目標 Objectives
在經濟的計量理論中，微積分扮演一個奠基的重要角色。希望能透過數字計算與幾何圖形進一步了解各式各樣經濟行為的解釋。因此希望學生能藉由本科目的學習，先行掌握基礎的數理計算與分析能力，進而能將此一能力運用在未來高年級所要求的各個專業科目中。
The calculus provides a sound, intuitive understanding of the basic concepts students need as they pursue careers in business; economics; finance and investment; the life, health, and environmental sciences; the physical sciences; and the social sciences. We use techniques of differential and integral calculus without sacrificing mathematical accuracy. And completely state the main definitions and theorems, motivating and explaining them intuitively or geometrically when possible. We endeavor to make every concept and idea easy to understand. And illuminate the many practical and important applications of calculus that students will find in their careers and continued studies.
