三、教學目標 Objectives
生物科技應用生命科學的知識與技術以改進人類生活素質，是上個世紀繼化學合成科技、電子資訊科技、材料科技之後最有潛力的新興科技。近年來，生物科技的發展突飛猛進，並在與人類生活息息相關的各個層面均有廣泛應用。在二十一世紀，生物科技已成為許多科技的核心而對人類社會、經濟產生深遠的影響。本課程將借重生物科技在人類生活上應用的例子，讓同學瞭解生物科技的理論基礎與發展現況、未來的重要性及其對人類的影響。
Biotechnology uses knowledge and technologies of life sciences to improve the quality of human life. After chemical synthesis technology, electronic information technology, material science and technology, it became the most promising emerging technologies in the last century. In recent years, biotechnology progress rapidly and are widely used in human lives of all levels. In the twenty-first century, biotechnology has become the core of many technologies and has a profound impact on human society and the economy. This course will draw on examples of biotechnology applications in human life and make students understand the current situation and development of biotechnology-based theory, the importance of its influence on the future of mankind.
