三、教學目標 Objectives
本科目介紹機率與統計的基本核心內容。首先，說明資料的隨機性質。接著，使用隨機變數描述資料的隨機性質。然後，說明估計與基本統計的技巧與應用。並教授 R 語言作為統計的實作工具。這個課程的設計希望建立學生基本統計的堅實訓練，做為下學期更高階統計技術課程的前行基礎。
This course introduces the essential aspects of probability and basic statistics. We will first observe the randomness among the data. Then the random variables, which are used to describe the distribution of random events in the world, will be introduced to the students. Further, estimation and some basic descriptive statistics are introduced to construct the background for the study of higher statistics in the next semester. In this course, R language will be taught and treated as a tool for doing the related exercises. This is well designed to the students who want a background of fundamental probability and statistics. Base on the training of this course, students could apply a more advanced course of statistics which is settled in the next semester.
四、課程內容 Course Description
●整體敘述 Overall Description We will first observe the randomness among the data. then the random variables, which are used to describe the distribution of random events in the world will be introduced to the students. The application of probability would be exercised in order to appreciate the explanation of the world with randomness. Further, estimation and some basic descriptive statistics are introduced to construct the background for the study of higher statistics in the next semester.
