三、教學目標 Objectives
本課程不僅介紹機率理論，並將此課程廣泛的應用在很多領域，如統計學，精算數學，財務數學，隨機微積分和財務管理。目標是幫助決策者在不確定情況下做出正確的決策。
Statistics is a way of getting information from data. This two-semester introductory course is designed to explain the basic concepts of why, when, what, and how the statistic procedures should be conducted. Topics covering the probability theory and inferential aspects of statistics will include: basic probability theories, discrete and continuous probability distributions, mathematical expectation, moment generating function, law of large number, central limit theorem, sampling distribution ande xploratory data analysis.
The firm grasp of statistical methods and manipulation of concepts are important skills to have, especially in the business world.
