三、教學目標 Objectives
此課程旨在學生習得職場與商務溝通場域中應對的英語操作技巧。透過課堂講授課與分組實作練習,幫助學生熟悉商務語域中英語溝通技能。主題涵蓋:商務郵件、求職信、履歷、簡報技巧。
This course aims to enable students to produce a portfolio where they adopt the skills covered to produce their study-related documents and tailor the writing to their target audiences. The ultimate of this course is to expand students' lexical range in general business situations, sharpen students' skills in composing documents including CV, Cover Letter, and E-mails, and familiarize students with presentation skills through theoretical frameworks and samples

Course Requirements
1. Students are required to attend all classes. NO MORE THAN THREE absences are permitted.
2. ACTIVE participation in class discussions is required.
3. Writing assignments are carefully scheduled as stages toward the fulfillment of the course’s objectives. NO late assignments will be accepted.
4. All works should be typed and follow the specific format instructed in class (e.g. original margins, 12pt Times New Roman, double spaced, Window DOCX [no PDF]).

The course instructor pays extra attention to students' participation and learning attitude. Please pay attention and be prepared to contribute ideas in class.
Also, every student is often required to work with their peers; this means that cooperation is needed so as to maximize their chance to practice communication skills in English. Those feeling uncomfortable with this requirement are advised to think twice before taking the course.

十一、計畫表公布後異動說明 Changes Made After Posting Syllabus
1. All the teaching content and activities arranged between Week 11 and Week 16 are to be performed one week earlier (thus moved to the Week 10-15 span). Final exam is re-scheduled to take place on Week 16.
2. Week 17 (which was originally the Final exam week), is for individual consultation, which is available to those who make an appointment in advance.
